Great learning opportunity

The team I'm on has great work life balance and fun. The company is starting to hire more young people which is positively impacting the office atmosphere. eGain is trying to be more competitive in Silicon Valley by offering free catered lunch on Fridays and other office perks. eGain is a great company for an entry level positions because you get a lot of hands on experience and can get work experience in a department you were necessarily hired for. eGain overall does not value retaining talent with compensation and opportunities for growth. There is also a lot of nepotism, which takes some getting use to. I would recommend joining eGain to gain experience but don't expect this to be your long term company.

CEO is an amazing software engineer but did not grow the sales culture.
The company is stagnant at best losing market share with many instances of not being able to deliver what was sold. CEO ruled with an iron fist and hired many relatives into management positions. But they do have great sales play and vision with customer experience. High turnover.

Will not get to the next level, CEO will not trust/loosen reins outside executive experience.
