Good people, toxic environment
|
Lots of great individuals working here. Good pay and benefits for a call center. But overall the atmosphere for this location at least is getting more and more toxic. After a recent round of surprise layoffs in mid-December, management now expects employees to be able to keep up with the same volume of calls (and increasing as they move into the busy season) with 50+ fewer people.

Co workers are nice
|
Clocked in, took calls for 8 hours a day and went home. They recently laid off a bunch of people even though we've been told many times this would never happen. No bonus this year for us as well. Supervisors and co workers are very helpful and nice. Pay is good. Managers are very friendly and helpful. Upper management is brutal. Supervisors are put under a lot of stress for not meeting metrics that are well out of their control. The pile of rules that have been added since I started working here just keeps going up and up. Used to be a very lax place with lots of OT available. Now it's very strict and it feels much like a call center despite what we're doing being very technical.

A typical day starts with a morning huddle followed by the tracking of the project and as per priority allocation of same, at the end of the day or twice in a week ends with a client call where the learning begins and engineer can put up their doubts regards to the problems they face and use the client experience at the same time. Happy to grow then open to learn and explore the dynamics

A typical day at work
- you login to your computer. Check in with your team. You open up the different tabs, and tools for your job. You take calls and assist in troubleshooting issues with equipment, software updates, and doing warranty replacement on as needed basis.
What I have learned.
-I have learned that being efficient, and proactive is likely to assure you a position even through business downsizing. However, you have to be cognizant and document everything so when leadership makes mistakes you have the documentation to back up your statements.
Management
-Management as in my direct Supervisor is phenomenal. Very attentive, and provides feedback weekly so you can improve. Upper management and leadership not so much. They tend to be focused on their bottom line rather than the employees at the bottom. So rather than cut their own pay from 16.1 MIL/yr they rather cut 500+ employees to satisfy the shareholders for losses they experienced.
Workplace Culture
-The culture for Enphase employees is really cool if you work on site. They have endless activities all the time. Food Trucks, company movie outings. It's a vibe really. Working from home well you don't get much workplace culture then.
The hardest part of the job.
- I would say is getting acclimated to the changes that come with the job. Processes for different things change constantly. If you're able to be organized, have a meticulous attention for detail, and don't mind the monotony that may peek it's head in once in a while then this is the job for you.
The most enjoyable part of the job
-For me it's the ability to not have to get up and go into an office every day. I love working from home because I drive a V8 and gas is expensive! I also love the perks of working for Enphase. We don't pay for benefits out of our check, and we get free stocks!

Things just keep getting worse
|
The title speaks for itself the only good thing left is the free dental, eyes and healthcare. They had a major layover then continue to pressure the remaining agents on AHT and wonder why agents keep leaving. Very unorganized from top to bottom, There’s a new policy favoring the company and hurting agents every month, more departments and task are being added every month for agents to do but the pay has stayed the same.

Horrible company
|
Horrible company to work for, they make you pay for your own gas , when you travel they make you pay for your hotel and take sometimes 2 months to get reimbursed.

Starting it's downward spiral

Poor communication and lack of consistency makes it hard to know what you're expected to do from week to week. Pay was worth it, but now they're starting new people out lower than they used to and are being harsher to the long term employees.

Remote working, the call center is garbage to work at.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
That you're harassed about getting an 18 minute handle time and then your after call waiting needs to be under 10 seconds. You also have to sit there and let customers berate you.

Very much a who you know not what you know. How hard you work means nothing.

High stress people riding you all day about stats and tons of other stuff.
