Great people, bad leadership and constant budget cuts

Loved the people I worked with and genuinely loved my job.
|
Constant budget cuts, disconnected leadership, and a lack of transparency made it really difficult to enjoy this job at the end. What was really a great start turned sour pretty quickly--an ever-increasing workload run by a ghost ship became unsustainable and caused most (if not all) of us to burn out.
My direct manager and teammates were absolute rock stars--I cannot sing their praises enough. Unfortunately, a great team doesn't mean healthy working conditions or a great company.
I think Everbridge has a lot to learn, and I hope it finds its way again for those still there.

-So much change within the company. We were told about several positive changes that were supposed to lead us in the right direction and they never happened OR did not move us in the right direction.
-Micromanagers across several different teams.
-Made goals unattainable so that they can let reps go or layoff due to performance
-At the end of the day everyone is just a number on a ranking and not a valued employee/person
- Tenure and loyalty is not valued or reciprocated
- People are often hired/promoted to management roles due to good performance rather than true leadership skills and traits
