Good culture and benefits but work is challenging in a fast-growing company
|
Company culture is great. Cultural and racial diversity, inclusion, and respect for one another are emphasized on numerous occasions during company training, team activities, and communications from management. Since it's a fast-growing company, there is an abundance of opportunities for advancement and moving to other teams in the company. The downside of that is the work is often very demanding. If you work in the lab, you would face rigorous performance metrics that are developed to make sure you are pushing the best of yourself eight hours a day like a machine. There's also micromanagement. Management also wants you to log every minute of your day into a timecard, including the exact time you take a break, use the bathroom, check emails, etc. If you work for the corp, people expect to see immediate results and impacts of your work. Depending on your role, you may have tons of meetings from eight to five. Some of those meetings are repetitive and monotonous, basically reporting what you have done and the progress of assignments to various audiences (e.g. different managers, stakeholders, and clients). Exact is not a place where you can just do easy work in a laid back environment. Everyone is expected to work hard and push themselves to the limits, but at the same time, there are a lot of opportunities for advancements, benefits are good, and salary is competitive in the industry.

Outstanding overall
|
No job is perfect. You can always find a reason to be unhappy with a role or company. Having had a lot of jobs at a lot of companies, this is hands down the best. Compensation includes stock - it’s rare for the area and rare for entry level jobs. Leaders are new and still learning, and so sometimes decisions don’t make sense and they make mistakes, but everyone has your best interest at heart. Mission is rewarding and east get behind.

Not the Job for me long term.
|
This job is good if you just want to come into a company and have no individual thought, at least for this role. It has great benefits but I feel like I want to innovate a little more and they are reluctant to advance you to other departments. It's very competitive to transfer and it's almost like they will hire from outside the company before they will transfer employees which is discouraging.

I loved working here. My supervisors and leads were always very helpful and the office had a general cheerful attitude that I liked. I admire what the company does, and I didn't feel like just a cog in the machine. The benefits were amazing also.

This company has really good benefits and perks. In my opinion this job is not for me, I didn't like the fact I felt like I'm hassling the elderly. I really did not like the fact of feeling incompetent, trying to explain and unsure if I know what I'm talking about or not and then calling the hotline and some of those people act like you are a bother and you should know this info. I had a elderly lady call me dumb. I will not talk bad about the job, this was just not the job for me.

Really promising company, culture needs a little work
|
I really think this company has a lot of potential but promotions seem based more on being buddies with your manager than on working hard. The workplace culture is also overly positive. It is great at first, but quickly I ran into trouble getting questions I had answered. It felt like reality was not encouraged when they wouldn't address certain negative things because they wanted to only focus on the positive.

Apparently I spent 50,000 dollars and 4 years in college to join a cult!
|
Have you ever thought to yourself "Gee wizz, that Elron Hubbard sure had a lot of great ideas!"? Than have I got the place for you! We have our demagogue CEO at the center of our little cult who gives sermons each week, about how great of a company we work for and how much money everyone is making. Meanwhile, everyone who makes real money is hiding at home while the people making peanuts slave away in the lab, risking their lives and the lives of their loved ones during the middle of a pandemic. The company motto should be "Well at least I've got good benefits!" because that's pretty much all you hear echo through the halls as we all collectively wonder what we have gotten ourselves into. This cult like culture also creates these weird little zealots that are more focused on the color of their lab coat than the patients we care for. These cultists also seem to have a knack for harassing. Two of these little weirdos have set their sights on me in the short time i've been there, one of which creeped me out so bad I reported them, he was promoted LOL. Needless to say I didnt even bother with the one that is currently making my life difficult. If I had to give a newcomer looking to advance some advice it would be don't work too hard, don't worry too much about your numbers and KEEP TO YOURSELF. Hit the bare minimum and then try to talk to management as much as possible so you can become their special boy or girl, but don't bring any problems to them. Why not quit you ask? Well, after you wade through the detritus that is their company culture, the work really is meaningful and it can be an exciting company to work for. You just really have to focus on the patients and yourself. And hey, at least I have good benefits!

Was great at first, then went downhill.
|
Exact started as a great place to work at first with great benefits, but then there was lot of favoritism within management and they didn't want to help when you wanted to advance. I always had a lot of duties what were constantly changing and management didn't even know what I did, which goes to show how much they paid attention. This was a great place to start my career, but I would never want to work there again.

No “Core Values“ At It’s Core
|
For the first 15 months Exact was my dream place to work, then all the drama and politics started infecting my lab and at this point it’s a wildfire. Don’t let the pay or benefits package be the reason you apply - there’s no room to be promoted past 3 up from where you start (and there are 6 levels of management after that of people determined to prevent you from going any farther). I’m at that 3rd level of promotion and since I’m a top lab performer, they will continue to deny me other roles I apply to outside the lab because it’s hard to find people who care about doing a good job if they stay after they are in tune to the BS. They would never tell you this in an interview but that 5 weeks PTO they give you is for their off season in the winter when you’ll have more like 16 weeks without work. While my personal supervisor is amazing, it’s hard to find one that cares or likes you. Our HR department is literally out to get you and will investigate any little thing said (so no joking, swearing or side conversations in the lab) but once they don’t like you, you’re blacklisted. Our upper management team wants to do better but doesn’t comprehend the damage being done by leads, supervisors and HR. For a company that wants to help others, it sure is toxic for their staff.
