Future proof, with room to improve
|
I was at EXP for 1.5 years before transitioning.
The company has one of the best models to grow an organization, the resources are endless, and the best part is you can access it anywhere in the world.
I had my experience as a team member and a team lead. It's great for those who have the resources to start teams locally or grow an organization globally.
Ultimately, I experienced what it was like to have resources in person again and realized the experience feels real.
With every resource being online, it was hard to connect with others on a personal level. Unlike a traditional brokerage, all agents mostly work independently. There was no single location where agents usually meet unless it's an event.
I had my share of going to events and it was great to meet people you have yet to see in person. I highly recommend going to BUILD by Brent Grove!
For new agents, I would recommend joining a team if you are to join EXP.
Be mindful of who you join under. EXP does not allow you to change sponsors unless you leave the brokerage for 6 months & come back.
One hiccup about that is if you leave, the person who sponsored you will adopt all of the people you sponsored.
EXP will still be an option I have if I have to consider another brokerage!

If you're new to the industry, go seek out a small boutique agency. Exp isnt set up for new agents, yes there's lots of training provided but trying to get in touch with someone after normal working hours when (real estate mostly happens) is non existent.
