Not diverse. The bank is managed exclusively by white employees, the Board is almost exclusively white.
Not transparent: in October of 2023 the CEO announced that the bank was not like other competitor banks and had not had to pay off employees. Two weeks later we had a RIF.
Not welcoming or fair. Employees joining via acquired banks are not treated the same as legacy bank employees. In other words, “the jury is still out” on acquired employees for a rather long period of time. In my opinion.
Likability is the only way to keep your job or earn a new position. In my opinion and as I perceived the bank. Your skills truly do not matter. Be likable and don’t suggest anything that would go against popular opinion.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves for laying off many employees, glossing over it on a bank wide call, then minutes later announcing the new President. You should be ashamed for getting rid of people you don’t like under the premise of a RIF then 90 days later offering a bank wide bonus. Your actions are deplorable in my opinion.

The retail bank is devoid of technology to prevent check fraud leading to huge losses. The Market Managers are partial to their favorite employees and deny other employees growth opportunities. The bank as a whole is not inclusive and there is very little diversity.

Expects you to always go above and beyond to suit their agenda, but won't even do a fraction of that for you. Youre merely a # not a person. Believe nothing management says. Completely smoke and mirrors. Spent tons of money on "Service excellence" only to ignore top performers and used as a means to only promote "friends" and if you're a minority, good luck!! This bank actively runs on the "Good 'ol boys" system entirely! It's a shame a company that has sooo much potential still chooses to align themselves with corporate America stereotype. Advancements purely determined by the relationship you have with executives, NOT by performance and sacrifice.

Pay attention to your who your top performers are. Acknowledge them, praise them, appreciate them and your WHOLE staff not just your buddies. We have a diversity policy here that's it. Live by it. Get more than 1 or 2 minorities on ur executive staff in the bank. Not just straight white executives. This completely discredits your diversity policy. In the community this bank is known as a "white peoples bank" change this. You control the image the community speaks of. Do better.
