Drivers are expected to remain on the plantation
|
Absolutely the worst communication for any job I ever had. Drivers are treated like garbage and the pay is plantation pay.
Production workers get a 30% pay increase and have multi levels of pay based on knowledge. For over three years drivers have been told they will get that as well...... Which is a lie. Every year for three years it's always and excuse a d it's coming soon......but no hard date is given .
Drivers told if one gets a pay raise, everyone has to because they can't pay people different.... Which is another lie because no one makes the same rate already.
Drive for many months doing job one way, then told you're not doing it correctly. . Which is exactly how everyone else does it.... Then you do it the way they want it done..... And you get disciplined for following their orders.
You're a number to them, 98.6 with a heartbeat, and could care less if you leave. They will find another sucker to takes your place and swallow the lies

Pay was there… processing too much lifting. Supervisors needed to get a clue
|
12 hour shift with only three 20 minute breaks. No leaving so no smoking. The ones supervisors liked could take 45 minutes outside and smoking tho haha. 2-2-3 schedule work only 50% the year, start pay for production operator in 2021 was $51,000/yr, add in bonuses 5x a year, leveling system for training and growth, only 96hrs(8days) PTO a yr to start, company paid food/drink, insurance felt expensive, $320/month for me and my daughter’s coverage.
They didn’t want me to do much else other than lifting blocks of meats and stack em in rows 12 high on top of a table that was HIGH. I’d say on average 400+ blocks a shift, that’s not including any of the veggies or dry stuff. Idk maybe rotate and give training coulda learned some of the machine’s programming hhahaha. Lift that or squeeze 2lb tubes and “look” at the line and palletize boxes you get paid the same 24/hr. Between packaging n processing is a big stretch in efforts and responsibility.
|
Free cafeteria, training for advancement
|
Short breaks, 3days straight lifting blocks is too many

Great people, great environment.
|
The hardest part is working the 12hr shifts especially if you’re not used to it. It’s really a laidback job that offers so much more than other companies. They really take care of you and your family.

Terrible company
|
The way the company wraps people in by sending them to plant 2 is ridiculous. There marketing team deserves a reward for that building. The building is purposely structured like a college to give all initial viewing a "spectacular" site. As you walk through you slowly start convincing yourself that it's a nice place to be. But once you're actually hired, I'm very sure your views will change. From the EXTREMELY toxic management all the way through the "food" they provide for you to eat while working. The food consists of old sandwiches, stale meats, and of course they have a snack wall full of chocolate and chips. The companies goal isn't to make you, or your family more happy, or be in an overall better position. They strictly want to meet THEIR goals as a company and nothing short of that. I worked in both plants for years, and it's extremely disappointing to see that the company is strictly a "who you know" rather than "what you know" company. The money is very good, but in my opinion it's NOT worth sacrificing your family, animals, relationships, and your overall health. 12 hours at night will change you for the worse regardless how used to it you are. Don't be fooled by them telling you "you only work half the year". They're correct, but nobody accounts sleep. You'll be sleeping or running errands, and before you know it you're back in the building for another 36 out of the 72 hour weekend. This company has A LOT more growing to do, but about just as much change will need to happen for them to succeed. They bring people to their knees, and kick them right out the door looking high and low for a replacement.
