None of the positions at a plasma center are hard once you are trained. This place is the most backward place to work. If you’re an exceptional employee they’ll make you out to be mediocre. If you’re a mediocre employee they love you. As a medical specialist there were things that I was asked to do that medically made no sense to me. But to keep the donation numbers up, this company will do anything. Compensation was great but now I know why. That’s really the only good thing they can offer you. I was lucky enough to leave this company on a good note but it took a lot to not tell them all about themselves. It’s such an easy job. This company makes it sooooo much harder. Good pay. Hour lunch. The best part was how fast paced it was. There’s always something to do. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Dealing with inappropriate and rude donors, because the management at my location didn’t seem as though they wanted anything to do with donors. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Work environment was great you’ve got your slow people but that’s anywhere. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Opening is a breeze and you get to leave at your designated time. Closed on the other hand isn’t the best due to the policy being to tend to every donor including the ones coming in 2 minutes before close. My issue with this place is that my management and supervisor are terrible people to work for, they gossip about their new employees and make them feel uncomfortable as well as the leads and anyone who was in a higher position. I learned that when I had issues with anyone there to either go to HR or handle it myself as my supervisor and manager would do nothing about the situation. They lack the biggest thing there is to be a boss... which is setting an example. They'd give orders and then sit all high and mighty in their office with their coffee. Not to mention they hire you for one position (which is less pay) and then FORCE you to work as the position that gets paid the most but you do not receive that kind of pay, you'll be working hard for something you're not getting paid for, therefore all the stress and overtime isn't worth it. Another issue they have aside from their daily 50 issues is they show favoritism and that will show and effect your work environment. One last thing, 90% of their employees are 30 and above in age, the most recent hires have I work at the one on 500 N Carolina Dr Unit B, El Paso, TX 79915. Like I said the work is easy but my supervisor and manager are trash at their job and should really analyze themselves before they come at their employees who are the ones getting them those numbers.
