Passionate people who love what they do and work hard to do it right in a timely manner. Caring culture at the headquarters. Good benefits. CEO is a great leader and has his people in mind at all times.

Horrible work environment outside the HQ. Love to talk politics (must agree with their views). Micromanaging to the extreme, you do it their way you get in trouble you think outside the box you get in trouble. Certain Manager are unwilling to change and don’t care that customers have issues if they aren’t a massive customer. State were Haynes and they’ll bend to our will. Some female managers are sexist and upfront about it. They also tell you to do more but stay in your lane. Told to never go to upper management with new ideas. Some managers don’t want you to know about all the additional benefits. Have only met a handful of people who they they enjoy working with Haynes as their customer.

Retrain managers/directors and enforce the training and rules at all levels. There’s a disconnect from lower level employees to upper management (the left foot doesn’t always know what the right foot is doing).

The Hourly rate is competitive.

Dangerous Dirty work for min benefits. Trash insurance. Very costly. No pension. Very poor management. They back stab each other on a daily basis. Force to work 2 weekends a month and up to 60 extra hours a month.

Income fair, but could be better for the hours demanded away from family.

Maintenance in all crafts is understaffed, and company is doing little correct the situation. Forced weekends twice a month as well as forced 12 hour shifts days on end. When interviewing for a skilled trades position, the company offers a supervion position instead. 12 members of management plus a coordinator to oversee 100 member staff. Most of the management has little to no maintenance experience adding to the frustration. Want a vacation day...think again. Especially if you want a vacation day on a Friday or Monday, unless you're an ass-kisser. Not uncommon for employees to be paid for unused vacation days at the end of the year. Likely not to get better as over 20 expected to retire in the next 12 months, and company has no plan in sight to address the situation.

As for management, its a lost cause as it a good ol boys club. Where a culture of lying to employees and disregard to employee needed contractual time off is ignored by plant manager. Suggestion to board of directors. Fire them all and start over. It's not communist china.

They want you to live there. Management wont listen. Stuck in their ways. "Thats how we've always done it" mentality. Salary side is a buddy system. Not the right man for the job. Workers manpower numbers have been low. Lots of forced overtime.

Pay and benefits are good, but could definitely be better as they are not competitive with other large manufacturers in the area. Free care at a nearby clinic. Stable company with a high value line of products.

ZERO employee appreciation, laughable pay raises, extremely dangerous and hazardous work environment. No bonuses or profit sharing. Only a chosen few will ever have career advancement opportunities. Nearly impossible for a union worker to face any kind of discipline so salary workers often get stabbed in the back.
