The VA market president is a total A Hole and is cocky and does not know how to treat people, that's why he has had 4 CBA's in 6 years. CEO and upper management needs to listen to employees and need to train better but the work envornment in the roanoke office is very toxic and would not reccommend to anyone! Evaluations are a joke. I recieved above expectations for years to only receive less than .50 cents on my yearly raise. Upper management doesn't care about their employees and the communication was non-existent making it difficult to succeed there. I gained all I know about retail banking at HomeTrust. I learned a considerable amount of information concerning personal finance and customer service. Con: there is no such thing as "bankers hours" someone has to open and close the business. Pro: was building relationships with customers. They trusted your problem solving abilities and judgement. The worse is customers who are unable to count or budget their finances.I had two great managers while I worked there. Senior management is...senior engagement.
