It's a good job to get your feet wet and put some IT experience on your resume. Lots of exposure to both hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as learning corporate processes like how to submit things for approval, ask for supplies, etc. Downsides include a lot of travel. I would have to go to Port Lavaca, Victoria, and Bay City on an almost weekly basis. Wasn't bad in the beginning but over time it wears on you. Would get hounded by management in those locations about why I'm not over there all the time even after I tell them I'm only required to be there once a month. Management over there expects you to make a 2.5 hour drive on the drop of a hat when any little thing goes wrong. I wouldn't be too mad if they paid well, which they didn't. Pay was much below market average. You can expect to make $15/hr when other companies in the area will pay you $20/hr for similar work. Another main assignment of any jobs at the bank were to print off new debit cards for clients and customers. The management was unable to be on the sales floor with us to train so I managed the job myself with little to no instructions. The ladies that worked with me were very consistent on being abusive to other employees in the workplace which made this job extremely difficult and frustrating everyday. The job itself was one of my favorite jobs I have ever had. I’m extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the the employees who worked there. Maybe I can re apply in the future at another location.
