<p>Job Purpose </p>
<p>Programming, set-up and running of various welding machines to include hand welding using a TIG welder and orbital welding using an orbital welding machine of stainless steel and other high-purity materials. </p>
<p>Duties and Responsibilities </p>
<p>• Demonstrate the ability to perform mechanical set-ups and changeovers for all welding operations. </p>
<p>• Execute all of Talon’s Standard Operating Procedures as they pertain to manufacturing related duties. </p>
<p>• Responsible for the study of prints, drawings and specifications to complete finished welds and lay out of tasks using specialized computer welding equipment. </p>
<p>• Proficiently use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center. </p>
<p>• Work as a team member to aid others in upholding and maintaining departmental standards including quality goals and on-time delivery goals. </p>
<p>• Demonstrated Ability to process and inspect work in accordance to prints. </p>
<p>• Ability to perform a sequence of operations, consistently maintaining the performance level set for quality and quantity. </p>
<p>• Collaborate with Engineering to develop advanced welding processes. </p>
<p>• Understand and execute Talon’s safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations or acts, which may cause injury to self, others or the environment. </p>
<p>Qualifications </p>
<p>• Successful completion of a 2 year professional trade program in Welding Technology or equivalent- or currently enrolled in such a program </p>
<p>• Basic math, blueprint reading and weld to print skills. </p>
<p>• 3+ years work experience performing Tig welding of stainless steel or less experience with a Welding technology degree (or currently enrolled in Welding Technology Degree program). </p>
<p>• Basic PC skills for manufacturing. </p>
<p>• Experience working in high-purity clean room environment. </p>
<p>• Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred. </p>
<p>• Aptitude or understanding of Talon products, systems and UHP industry so as to successfully perform duties. </p>
<p>• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. </p>
<p>• Commitment to quality, customer focused mindset both internally and externally. </p>

<p>o Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. </p>
<p>o Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. </p>
<p>o Measures, marks, and scribes’ dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. </p>
<p>o Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. </p>
<p>o Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. </p>
<p>o Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools such as: calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers. Familiarity with CMM, GD&T, and SPC. </p>

<p>Duties and Responsibilities </p>
<p>• General labor but not limited to loading and unloading various types of cleaning equipment, miscellaneous assembly, inspecting, alcohol wiping, swabbing, carrying plates, nitrogen dry parts, leak, function and flow testing, bagging, packaging and other duties that pertain to all areas. </p>
<p>• Demonstrate ability to operate microscopes profilometers, lapping machine, air and electric drivers, impulse wire bag sealers and leak, flow and function testing equipment. </p>
