Contractors are not allowed to apply to job openings, so unless you are hired you have no ability to access better opportunities within the company. Let go as a contractor without any advance notice due to the company not having enough work.

Give more notice to contractors before they are suddenly let go. I don't care if it would cause any panic, ensuring I can work with my contracting company to place me into a new role seamlessly is better for the financial safety of my family than having it dumped on me at the last minute. If I were to have behaved the same way as a contractor I would have been let go!

Good company but very volatile which currently undergoing lot of churn with a bleak future

Work life balance is reasonable.
Good supportive colleagues and managers.

Lot of volatility.
Major churn at the moment.
More then 50% employees laid off at European sites.
Lay offs are very common. If not quarterly once, half yearly once layoff cycle is assured.
Layoffs are random and severance are not on par with similar companies.
Post layoff, treatment to employees lack empathy.
Was expected to be acquired by Cisco systems but the deal seems to have not gone through and hence the company is facing extreme financial difficulty with share prices falling continuously.
