- often missing necessary items, will be sent on shopping runs to resupply
- met some incredible people that were also stuck at Kona

- The One Group restaurant conglomerate now owns Kona Grill, their first priority is shareholder returns. It shows in the Sysco food, the menu pricing, and halfway finished renovations.
- Leaks in the ceiling when it rains, sometimes directly over the drink station.
- The restaurant will never close during business hours, even if that means stepping over sewage, or placing buckets on tables to catch leaks.
- Currently 12 servers EMPLOYED at this restaurant, soon to be 3 Hostesses, and 5 Server Assistants. SEVERELY understaffed and unwilling to make the necessary changes for improvement. i.e. hourly wage, employee treatment, etc. For reference, a busy Saturday needs a minimum of 15 servers IN THE RESTAURANT, not just on the payroll.
- Certain managers will treat employees like absolute garbage, until said employee either snaps, or goes over their head to get help, and then proceed to be surprised why turnover is so high.
- Their mission, 'To be the number one provider of vibe dining'. Someone got paid to sit in a board room to come up with that cute little slogan and force all the lower level employees to deal with the repercussions.
- Constantly being asked to extend eight hour shifts into ten, twelve, even sometimes fourteen hours, day-of.

If you don't want to go bankrupt for a SECOND time, it is imperative that Kona Grill review their wages, treatment of employees, menu pricing, and finally their food quality. I suggest you start with the "We must please The One Group overlords at all cost' attitude.

As a former employee, I found the staff at Kona Grill to be friendly and easy to work with. The work schedule was flexible, which was especially convenient for me as a high school student at the time. Overall, a positive experience with accommodating colleagues and manageable hours.

While most of the management team at Kona Grill was friendly, there were instances of confusion and lack of clarity in their explanations of procedures. Additionally, there was one manager who was unkind to certain individuals, making collaboration difficult. Improved communication and consistency in management style would enhance the work environment.

No structure - it's like walking into a circus
The kitchen staff is overworked and sucks at pumping out food during the rushes and managers yell at them disrespectfully
Managers are mean, and unexperienced micromanagers
They won't let you leave at night unless you get a review - so staff creates fake reviews on Yelp
They are manipulating the staffing matrix so they keep servers late when the restaurant is slow (so you and 12 servers stand around for a few hours, in an empty restaurant )
High school-like environment
Lots of negativity from staff and management
Management is sleeping /drinking with staff
The general manager uses sexual phrases loosely and jokes around like it's funny and acceptable
They treat everyone like children who need to be punished instead of adults who need coaching and better training
poor communication/ training and leadership
Bar has mold growing in the fruit juice spouts
During a major holiday, the kitchen and the bathrooms flooded with SEWAGE and they violated health codes and stayed open serving food.
