There are some very qualified people with years of experience that can do so much to improve the culture of the bank. Sadly, the opposite is just as true. Most departments set to support branch personnel are either woefully understaffed or downright incompetent at their work. There is a complete lack of practical knowledge that often results in multiple answers on how to do something. The branch itself is amazing. The branch culture allows the short-comings outside to be sometimes be tolerated. Above all, if you are professional and value your sanity, maybe give Luther Burbank Savings a second look. Having been bought out by a new bank, it's difficult to see what the culture will turn into, but until that time comes, this is the hand that we have been dealt.
