Nothing interesting on a technical front happening at Goto. Several initiatives are somewhat misguided and got the trajectory of the original go-to family of products of track and now faltering. There's not much career development happening either.

It was good when it was LogMeIn and a public company

I can't speak for what the company has become since going private, however before the mass lay off (2020) it was a good place to work with everything one would expect from a modern, software company.

Culture and morale still haven't recovered
|
Company was taken private by an equity firm, and the morale of jobs cuts and company culture have suffered immensely. The company has shown a clear disdain for loyalty, often laying off entire teams in the span of a couple months. It's pretty clear that the company priority is to serve the equity owner, not deliver great products. That always feels like second fiddle.

Great company. Relaxed atmosphere. Offices are amazing with great views of Dublin. Fun culture, with "beer cart" on Fridays. Summer hours on Fridays. Great annual leave days and flexible work hours. Remote working offered. Work hard / play hard attitude. Management care about staff and if you are eager and willing to put in the hard work you will be rewarded.

Easy job with great benefits. Worked on interesting technologies - though often feel lacking in structure or process. People there seemed to really enjoy being in the work place and actually cared about each other's on a personal basis.

Terrible Management and Upper Management

I worked for Logmein for 5 years. Was a loyal employee and very successful at my job. I left LogmeIn because it was a toxic work environment. The toxic environment was created by management on all levels. You were just a number to them, and they could care less about anything else. The respect given to the employees was non existent unless you were one of the chosen few. I worked with many amazing people, but most have now left because of management issues. To get respect, you need to give respect. I would NOT recommend working for this dysfunctional company.

Great people, terrible systems.

LogMeIn is not what it used to be especially now that they went private and not in the office. Great people but bad systems. They do not train you on all products and systems but expect you to know how to do it all for all 16 products they have. You are just a number to anyone above the director level. The culture was amazing in the last few years but now LMI is a competitive place where everyone is concerned about themselves. The people you meet there are wonderful and become friends outside of work.
