Draining my will to live
|
Every day I log on, it has become a real struggle to stay motivated until midday. As a seller, you can expect zero support from management unless you are in the little inner circle of buddies. There are teams to lean on for support but these have been stripped of resources via multiple layoffs so you need to almost everything yourself which is very difficult when you don't know what the USP is, no training, the pricing changes every other week and internal processes are unclear and slow. The culture is rotten with people constantly looking over their shoulder knowing at any moment you could be next for the chop

Interesting work, inconsistent environment and culture

LivePerson is an interesting place to work in a technical role. I've learned a lot in my time with the them. They have some good perks like remote work for all, unlimited PTO and decent benefits.
However, the company is constantly changing focus and goals. This leads to frequent re-orgs (and often layoffs). Also be aware, recognition and advancement (by that I mean regular pay raises, bonuses and any kind of career track) are very limited for anyone not involved in sales. This is quite ironic for an organization that advertises itself as a "tech company."
All that being said, I would still recommend the company because of the opportunities to work with emerging technologies and the flexible work options. However, you have to have a thick skin and be prepared to work in an uncertain environment that can change dramatically every six months.

The company is a joke. Upper management is clueless. Everyone who was worth anything to the company either left or was laid off. CEO wastes company money buying dead companies that do nothing to enhance the product or the company. Has a very unstable product that weekly has outages. Customers are leaving in droves or refusing to pay.

Management only care about obtaining new clients not about the employees

You can get far in the company if you kiss up to the right manager and keep a fake smile on your face. The company will do it’s best to create an atmosphere like Google and spend hundreds of dollars on lunch for its employees but will give you a microscopic raise only if they feel you are worthy of one.
