Worst company culture of any Pharma company I have worked with or heard about from peers. Sr Mgt has no interest in oncology space or customers. They wanted diabetes drug approved for profit It didn’t get approved and they have destroyed the culture only.

I liked working there

I liked working at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals and meet some good people that I am still friends with today. The office was close to home. They had monthly social events. If an employee had an emergency and needed time off and did not have enough vacation time management rallied together and help the employee and their family.

Many employees had been there for several years, had grown with the company, and were personally invested. I found that refreshing.
There was a limited budget for FTEs, but an unlimited budget for contractors leading the company to hire on more contractors who were not invested in the company and were not diligent workers. Two divergent ends of the spectrum lead to an odd culture.
