I don’t recommend it.
|
We were overworked, too much expected of us.
If Processing was ahead of schedule, it was up to us to get even more work done than usual in the same amount of time.
Your breaks/lunch depend on coworkers taking the appropriate number of breaks and coming in on time but these things were not enforced by management so you often get stuck in the clean room.
Our department was all contracted employees who were promised permanent positions within 3-6 months but nobody ever got the offer to become permanent. This means no pto, no maternity/paternity leave, do disability leave, no bereavement leave, no 401k, no stock options. You can get health/dental insurance through the recruiting company but it’s very expensive.
It seemed like an amazing place to work, it was so disappointing to learn otherwise.

Overall great job. Every job has is pros and cons at mimedx, for me at least. The pros out Weighed the cons. Good environment, good coworkers. They have cut back on overtime recently though.

My manager was a great salesman. He was not prepared to lead a team of highly skilled & talented ppl. The culture of the company was conservative, but fun as well. Not diverse in terms of leadership, account executives, or anywhere in the organization with respect to ethnicity or color. A lot of money left on the table. Hopefully things have improved. The hardest part of the job is trying to clean up the companies past reputation as being corrupt. The pay was decent, the national sales meetings were cool.

Easy day with a great staff. Everybody works together. They have a great lunches. If you need to go home on a personal or emergency is not hard and there’s way to advance. That’s pretty easy as well.

No work life balance. Horrible toxic environment, new upper management degrades and talks down to employees and shows no respect. No matter how hard you work, it does not meet their expectations. If you’re over the age of 50, don’t expect to be hired in certain departments. So glad I left, I now live a stress free life.

Unreasonable goal expectations for a scorched territory
|
I came on board with the hopes of resuscitating a terrible territory (you can only go up, right?) and pushing my sales upward and onward. Did my due dillengence before I took the position, but not thoroughly enough. In the first couple of months, I uncovered several issues including my company being banned from key hospitals and offices. My manager came clean about knowing all these obstacles before I started and offered that it might take at least a year to get upright. Worked hard, brought my manager to key meetings for assitance and feedback, etc. A year into my tenure, small successes were building, sales were increasing, but it wasn't enough to stave off high pressure to perform.
