Don't Recommend
|
Work here if you want to be a number on a data sheet that will be quickly blotted out if it mkaes the numbers look better. The CEO and upper management only care about finances with little/no regard for the employees. If you reach upper level/management, know that management will be finding excuses to fire you and give it to younger more recent hires to save money which is an extremely short-sighted and toxic approach to company management.
The promotion system is a joke - there is no communication and transparency.
I personay recommend getting a job at a company that thinks of their employees as more than numbers.

Great place to start, terrible to stay
|
Medpace is great at getting you started in the industry but quickly overwork and put lots of expectations on you. Great people and fun office events from time to time. Upper management is out of touch with their employees. A good place to start clinical research career but staying for a longer time means being taken advantage of for little monetary bonus

Team collaboration, but low salary and overwhelming workload
|
Employees are expected to manage a workload much higher than what is reasonable or even the industry standard.
Many of the perks early on have been taken away and merit raises/bonuses are much lower than other CROs.
Great place for a first position out of school but the company unfortunately does not value their experience employees.

Don't work here. Mass layoffs around any corner. No loyalty to good employees. You are a number to them, get your experience elsewhere. But hey, free spinach.

Don't work here
|
They will fire you for arbitrary reasons to not provide severance as well as overwork you until you are miserable. working a 12 hour day with no overtime compensation is expected by upper management. There is little to no work life balance and the pay is not industry standard. Very hard to move up in the company without spending at least a decade at the company.
|
Happy hours, some work from home time (for now)
|
Poor worklife balance, being disposable, feeling invalued

Toxic Environment
|
-job responsibilities are easy
-Medpace cares more about their managers and high level executives than their employees who do most of the work
-Don't expect a promotion or bonus, they only give it out to departments that bring "value" to the company
-entry level employees have a high turnover rate and low pay, which leads to managers deeming you replaceable
-Hard work is not valued and ignored, will get the same praise as someone who just shows up

Good place to grow
|
Medpace has grown significantly since I started and I appreciate how much I’ve learned here. My career has grown quickly along with the company. With our focus in biotech, I’ve gotten to be a part of several groundbreaking trials that are often life saving. Generally Medpace has listened to my interests and aligned my work with my therapeutic interests. I’ve gotten a lot of opportunity here. Their commitment to their mission and the people that work alongside me are why I plan to stay.

a nightmare company
|
The company require employee to record how every hour is spent on different projects every day and enter to a system monthly. The upper management asks to keep the monthly total "administrative" hours less than 5% , which is equivalent to less than 30min a day. What a wonderful goal! Moreover, the total hours each employee spend on each project was calculated sneakily by managers to judge the employee's work efficiency. If the employee spent too much billable hours on an individual project, then the management caught you for performance review.
Benefits are not as good as it seems to be. The company is financially successful via lowering the cost through different means. As a return, they would rather spend the money to buy everyone a cookie than negotiating a better health insurance or increase the 401k match. You do not qualify for bonus in you don't be there for a full whole year.
Most study leads do not equip with project management skills and there is lack of effective training for them. You were throwed under the bus and figured out how to survive yourself.

An alright place to work
|
This company has some of the culture of a startup despite being 30 years old. This is both good and bad.
Somewhat poor communication from HR. Expect to wait weeks if you are applying to hear back from them.
OK medical benefits.
Pay is fine but below industry standards.
Clearly doing a push for back to the office - do not expect to work fully remote if you are not in very specific roles and also far away from any office.
They are not particularly willing to make exceptions, or accommodate for those with disabilities/other special needs.
