Upper management is so pushy about you have to find something wrong on every car. You have to sell so much of this or that a day. Their prices are so high on tires I don't see how other stores sell so many. The health insurance is way to high.

The only pro I found was that I was able to work on my own vehicle when needed.
|
Most of what is promised during the interview process is based on almost un-attainable monthly Bonuses. It is based on beating the sales and profit numbers from the previous years month. I had a month that beat the previous years month by $45K and was told it was not enough to make a bonus. That was the final straw for me to quit.

Raise the base pay a lot. Make the bonuses obtainable. Get rid of being open on Sundays. Close by 2 on Saturdays and don't expect any manager or assistant manager to want to work every night until 7 pm and have no life or work every Saturday. Do those things, Business would flourish. Trust me, I have proven that since leaving.

Bonus hard to calculate and always way lower than expectations. No annual review. No raises. Only shop open till 7 every night. Only shop open 730 AM. Open 730 to 6 every Saturday. No family life. Benefit package cost one of the highest. You have to manage people who belong in a group home. Seriously stay away!

Give employees simple to understand Bonus Structures. Annual review with raises are needed! If you are going to have people sacrifice EVERY holiday you should at least compensate them with higer pay. You subtract vacation days and days not worked from monthly bonus. Sad. Morale Sucks , corporations have no soul. Your Equity program is working though, you screw everyone equally.
