Horrible Management

The pay was pretty good and benefits were pretty good. However, that isn't really worth it for how bad management is in the A/P department. I've never worked at a place where management was so micromanaging, didn't follow their own instruction to their employees, and doesn't have your back. I would give a rating of 1 star if the pay and benefits weren't as good.

A nice company but very dsyfunctional teams. Has an organization structure that is not adhered to and upper management does not respect organization structure. Organization structure is not respected by all managers and is more like a free for all.

Don't let the salary and benefits fool you. They are good, but the trade-off is NOT worth it. Please steer clear of this company, especially if you're looking for advancement or longevity at your place of business. The best thing MYR Group could do, would be to look at the Phoenix Arizona branch very closely, and then clean house. They would be surprised at the increased productivity and profit margins if they did so. Plus, turnover would drop tremendously. Employee morale and satisfaction, is very low here.

Accounts Payable Assistant was the title that they posted online. But the actual job title was file clerk. They kept promising that I would be trained on the accounts payable but continued to have me file to no end. They say that it was to learn the job numbers I learned the system of the job numbers with in my first two days and continued to ask for more work. I had them caught up on the filing to be told that I wasn't a fit "personally" for the team.
If you're looking for a true accounts payable position this is not the one to accept or interview for.
