Toxic culture, no growth, no potential

Some very kind and hardworking people. Bagels every other week. Data team is remarkable. However, none of these negate the negative aspects.
|
NCM is the definition of a sinking ship: zero consistency throughout the company, poor leadership, and no true strategy moving forward. The company floats aimlessly and exists at the mercy of the turbulent film industry. CEO, CMO and other leadership are not at all aligned and seem to have competing visions for the company.
There is a clear disconnect between leadership and “regular” employees. Lower-level employees are treated as expendable and as if their contributions do not matter. The company recently transitioned to four-days in office, with little notice and little explanation. This disconnection is further evidenced by recent layoffs in which several team members were unceremoniously let go in the middle of the work day while in the office. This occurred and the rest of us were expected to continue working, business as usual.
NCM's approach to diversity and inclusion reads more like tokenism and exclusion. There are just two people of color in executive leadership positions. The company touts its commitment to diversity and inclusion while diverse employees are often overlooked and underpaid compared to their colleagues.
I’d strongly advise anyone interested in entertainment, marketing or sales to steer clear of NCM. Joining NCM comes at the expense of your salary, career growth and ultimately mental health.

Where do I begin? The cons of this company are so much it outweighs the good. The first aspect, no one at this company is planning on staying. Everyone I know is trying to find jobs and flee this company as quick as possible. NCM used to be a good company. Since the pandemic, things have went south when movies went south with closing. The company stopped investing in their employees with 401K match, they have horrible leadership at the top of the company, and they do absolutely no investment into their employees. Not only that, but the aspect the wages are less for employees who have worked there for a while Vs. New hires is a joke. If you’re looking at applying here, save your time and save your mental health. It is not worth it. Also, they are no longer a hybrid model for remote work. Most days will be spent in an office with minimal work to do. The company seems to be struggling but no one talks about that.
