Okay place to work
|
Working within the branch is always nice. I’ll loved my manager and district manager. The problem lies within corporate. About 90 days into my job I requested a raise for various reasons. One number was given and agreed upon then once it went into affect I saw it was a different number. Corporate did not let me, my manager or even the district manager aware that the number had been changed. From that moment on I knew this was not a company I would continue working for.

The CEO hires his buddies to run Regions that has no auto finance experience !! Go figure !!! The old buddy system !! The program is old and is not Relative to todays market and especially the Major Metro Markets because of the competition and auto dealers are not going to give ME deals just because they know me and like me and give them less money on deals, of course they are going to give deals to lenders who give them a competitive price on their deals and Nichols is NOT COMPETITIVE at all !!! They keep closing branches and States and are trying to go into other markets that they have not been in and think they will make it work and its just not going to happen. Please do not work for this company as its a dead end ! Pay is bad, environment is Bad, Program is horrible and company is shrinking not growing !! Throwing good money after Bad never works !!!!

Beware when applying here. All is not as it superficially seems.
The collections end is very nitpicky with the collector being hairsplitting, severely disgruntled, and with a sharp tongue. You will be forced to walk the line between legalities. You may end up leaving the company over those antics alone. The loan end is similar to the wild west where just about anything goes, including unprofessional language, exiting the office on a whim, outright yelling, and hair curling episodes at the desk.
You will be downtrodden, exploited, and will never be able to blossom into your full value as there is a clique so tight that the only way to get in is to be born into it.

NFI has gone through many management changes and no one knows what they're doing. takes hours to get VP or DM exceptions and we lose deals. the program is not competitive anymore, you can't expect to lend 100% ltv when every other lender is giving at least 120%. corporate is virtually unreachable and offers no help when it comes to resolving issues or staffing the branches.
