Interesting but unstable
|
Great coworkers, very interesting science but unstable company with questionable business decision that led it to bankruptcy. Always wanting to push products out the door before it was ready. Hopefully it can recover.

Focused on innovation
|
Nanostring is so focused on innovation that there is not much support for sustaining and improving existing products. Employees are tasked with bringing in new products while maintaining the almost established product lines. It’s the same teams absorbing more and more responsibilities. Corporate burnout is high. Management relies on employees who are high contributors to absorb more responsibilities but are not willing to advance employees who perform at levels beyond their current roles. This perpetuates a burnout type of mindset. Nanostring also pays on the lower side compared to other biotech companies in the area.

Benefits/ Compensation
|
Working with the team ia fine, But the Compensation as Manufacturing Tech Inventory is underpaid, specially your skills is above what they requires..Company need to be fair with compensation vs the skill, background and experience.. This will be going to be a training ground for the specific salary that they will be given.

NanoString Technologies culture, communication, and career development
|
Culture:
The culture at Nanostring Technologies can feel somewhat competitive, which can be stressful and demotivating at times. There can be a sense of individualism rather than teamwork, which can make collaboration difficult.
Management:
While the management at Nanostring Technologies is generally supportive, there can be a lack of clarity and consistency in communication. There have been instances where expectations have not been made clear, which can lead to confusion and mistakes. Additionally, there can be a lack of recognition for the efforts of individual employees.
Role:
I have found my role at Nanostring Technologies to be somewhat limiting. While I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills, there can be a lack of flexibility in terms of job responsibilities. This can lead to a lack of engagement and a feeling of stagnation.
Overall, while there are aspects of Nanostring Technologies that I appreciate, I feel that the company could improve in areas such as culture, communication, and career development. I hope that this feedback can be used to make positive changes for the benefit of all employees.

Great co-workers and work environment
|
Great work environment, alot of work to do in a fast paced environment. Growing pains of a startup with a big move and layoffs. Alot of cost cutting measures being put in place.

Great Tech, growing company means growing pains
|
Great tech, which makes selling it fun. Great people to work with. Very driven and intelligent people. Territories have changed every year since starting and role changed without salary change. As a CSR, you will be second thought to the RAM and this can mean you are unsupported. Culture is changing and there is much more micromanaging from when I started.
