Was *flat out* told by my manager- "Women get paid less here"

There ARE some great people who work there. Unfortunately, very few of them appear to have attained a position of leadership.
|
Despite continually being given accolades and more responsibility, the compensation never grew to match. The veiled threats that my position could have "some of my accounts" dispersed to other reps if I didn't want to take on added responsibilities (again without a compensation increase), never went unnoticed.
To say this company is mismanaged is an extreme understatement.

Poor leadership from top to bottom

I was able to work from home during the pandemic.
|
I have never worked for an organization with such weak leadership. The lack of organization and courage among leaders, from the CEO to departmental managers, to supervisors is evident throughout the company. When the company faced challenges, the weakness in leadership became even more apparent as panic set in at every level as people either voluntarily left or were laid off with no warning.
Career development opportunities are practically nonexistent, with the prospect of moving up in the company is very low. Even if one does gain a promotion, it only means a small pay raise with double the workload.
Expect to get paid significantly below industry standards for comparable roles in the valley. Benefits are poor, with no sick days, PTO accrues slowly, and the health benefits are laughable. Nutraceutical is more of a stepping stone for someone wanting to gain short-term experience before moving on to a better-paying, more organized company. This is not a company I would consider for long-term employment.
