Problematic (at best)
There are a handful of dedicated, talented individuals trying to make improvements.
The most unorganized, dysfunctional, unprofessional environment imaginable. Red-flags are everywhere, along with constant chaos. No sense of quality or accountability. Toxic senior leadership.

Awful management and workspace
They fired me, thank god.
When I started at this company, they welcomed me with open arms and put on a “we’re a big happy family” show. The very next day I had a complaint from a co-worker that I wasn’t responding to emails promptly. Management was either non-existent or hyper-micromanaged. I had ZERO training for any of their outdated systems and processes, yet I was micromanaged by someone who had the same title as I did? They ended up firing me out of the blue with no explanation, no warning. It was a relief to be fired. Good riddance.

Terrible work environment

When I first started with the company it was an awesome job.
COVID exposed a company that in no way cared about their employees in any way. We were pretty much thrown to the wolves and forgotten.

A Troubling Work Experience
No Pros at all. a big NOPE!
During my tenure at this company, I encountered significant challenges that warrant serious consideration for prospective employees. The management was ineffective, leading to confusion and inefficiencies. Clear prejudice and a culture of bullying created an unwelcoming environment. The choice of an inexperienced manager for the data management department was perplexing and detrimental. I experienced , a deeply troubling occurrence that should never happen in any workplace. Regrettably, my complaints went unanswered, highlighting a lack of responsiveness. These issues, deeply ingrained and systemic, make it difficult to recommend this company, especially for roles in data management. I urge caution to those considering opportunities here. Addressing these concerns is crucial for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

No pros... horrible company. Nothing good to say about them
This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The micromanagement from the manager was extreme. Her reply to emails were very condescending and rude. They discriminate also. I had a miscarriage due to the stress from this company and was fired without any notification. My worst mistake was ever working with this company. Lawsuit

Amazing Culture!
Company culture is amazing. You truly feel like you’re part of a family than just an employee. Leadership is very engaged and you never feel like you’re just a cog in the machine. Pay and benefits are competitive, especially for the size of the company. Your coworkers are experts in their field and you can always count on them to meet deliverables. Even still being quite new I feel like I really have a voice in the company and my opinion is valued. I usually don’t take the time to review companies like this, but actually felt the need to because of how great it is working here. It’s not just me either, I’ve even spoken to a few former employees I know that had left Omeros and even they had nothing but positive things to say. Highly recommend Omeros. You truly feel the energy that the company is truly about helping patients with rare diseases. The CEO is an MD and it truly shows that his number one priority is the patients. I hope the culture stays the same overtime as we grow!
401k match could be a little better in comparison to other players in the industry, however, Omeros does make up for that in a lot of other ways like covering 100% of your medical, dental l, etc premiums. It’s a small company so if you’re someone who just wants to hide in the shadows, this may not be the place for you.

Keep the amazing culture we have as we grow, especially as more and more people are remote. Make sure to have events to get people together, either on site or encourage other ways to maintain cohesion and inclusivity. So far you are doing an amazing job!

It's a job.
I got paid 6 figures to mostly play video games all day. Very low expectations. Great place to pad the resume, if you don't spiral into depression.
Upper management is a veritable mystery. Couldn't tell you what most of them look like, and this is a small company. I learned way more from the CEOs presentation to share holders than I did from anything internally. Felt like I was just a contractor and not an employee. A lot of interactions with supervisors was them telling me to do something that they were told to do in a meeting. I could have just connected to the same meeting and learned what to do. Or they could have just done the work themselves. (HA!) Either way, one of our positions probably didn't need to exist. Bonus has been unbelievably late to be payed out. There's probably a connection to be drawn to how much management cares about its employees, and how late the bonus is. Hint: it's not good!

Have you considered quitting and letting other people take over? I get it that you're making a ton of money and that's hard to walk away from, but what are you actually accomplishing? If you have an answer, can you communicate that to your employees?
