A very successful company where the leadership has gotten incredibly greedy. Offshoring everything possible so they don't have to pay competitive wages. Also wants to automate any position possible to put more money in the pockets of upper management. Expects you to do the job of two people but barely pays you a living wage for one. Hires you on under the the pretense of a certain job description, then will "build" new expectations into your position without telling you until its happening and will not compensate you for it. The flexibility is great, but based on supervisor discretion. They do have fully remote positions but the training provided to people is atrocious. They have a "training team" that is so general that it is useless. All your "training" is done by your own team and it is a gamble if you get a supervisor or lead that will give you enough to do your job well or ones who give you bare minimum and throws you to the wolves because they "don't have time". Productivity goals are constantly increasing, but management will tell you it is quality over quantity then write you up for not meeting goal. If you want to be underpaid and under appreciated this is the company for you! If you want a company that appreciates their employees and pays a living wage stay FAR, FAR away from OCH!

Although the driving time on a daily basis could be over 100 miles/day that is what home infusion is all about. You either don't mind or you do. If driving isn't for you then maybe choose another company
|
autonomy, meeting new people on a weekly basis, developing relationships with clients, fellow infusion nurses very supportive in the field.
|
Unwritten expectation to participate in meetings while driving between client locations, it didn't happen often but if you are driving then it should never happen
|

What is the best part of working at the company?
There's not much good to highlight. The co workers were nice but the overall work structure was non existent.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of training and lax management. Plus option care is a parent company to many small companies that were acquired, they seem to do more harm than good by adding unnecessary protocols causing a slow down in production and quality of care.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The people are nice. The environment is rather chaotic, not to the fault of the workers, the building is subpar.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hectic at best, seems unorganized.
