My team was remote so I was able to work anywhere.

During the interview, I was promised unlimited PTO, full remote work, and the chance to upskill as a PM. However, I saw the red flags, and decided to ignore it due to my own circumstances, when the team was required to be based on the East Coast, my unlimited PTO was revoked three months in, and my manager changed my title from a Project Manager to something else. Micromanagement began immediately, with excessive workloads and little support. Negative feedback was constant (9 months), leading to a sudden transition to a new role without discussion. Despite a promising start, the company's culture proved toxic, with middle managers prioritizing their own advancement over team well-being. Communication and accountability were lacking, leading to a frustrating and ultimately unsustainable work environment.
I was let go and still struggle with low confidence as a PM. I have never been so dismissed, demoralized, and made to feel so irrelevant at a company.

- Don't hire someone if the manager of that org will not allow that person to do their job.
- To the above, HR is there to protect the company, but when you have 3 consecutive people going to you because of this specific person and how they treat their team, don't ignore it. All 3 were either let go or left on their own, by the way.
- Stop allowing your middle managers and upper management to openly disrespect their teams and other individuals. If the people working their tails off are getting publicly humiliated, something's wrong.
- Get rid of Stacey Tunks.
- Stop mis-leveling your SVP's, VP's, Senior Directors, and Directors. They literally have no idea what they're doing.
