Great benefits, Great CSS managers, Ok Pay But

The job itself is not hard after you catch on. The benefits are Phenomenal! The pay is good. Should be more for the stress, but it is good. If you should have any personal problems they understand to a degree, but the system they use to monitor days missed is crazy. The do many activities in office. Great food trucks, very friendly and family oriented. Super caring for the most part, as long as you don’t get sick and miss days. At that point it goes bad for you

It’s a regular call center. Not the highest in pay, but does encourage promotion. The company wants you to start at a payroll specialist position no matter what your future goal is with them. It’s pretty much forced upon you.

Excellent benefits , support for Advancement, Good training
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It can get extremely busy especially at the end of the year. Time off is blocked which means you will be working over the holidays.
Short staffing issues can be an issue and are not always managed in the best way.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive Culture and clear goals from the top.
Supervisors and managers are generally supportive.
Daily meetings with most teams so even work from Home employees can feel included.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Check emails and reply to clients , answer client calls. Work on weekly training. Helping out other teams when needed on the phones to reduce wait times.

Mixed Experience Working at Paychex

Working at Paychex has been a mixed experience for me. On the positive side, I appreciated the occasional events held at work and the fun holiday celebrations. However, there are significant issues with the training and management practices that need to be addressed.
One major issue is the inadequate training provided by Paychex. Instead of proper training, new employees are often placed with individuals who don't effectively train them, leaving them to figure things out on their own. This lack of support can be frustrating and overwhelming.
Additionally, the expectations for perfect stats and metrics are unrealistic, especially considering the excessive workload. There is little accommodation for workload when it comes to meeting these metrics, which creates a stressful work environment.
Another concerning aspect is the promotion of individuals to supervisor positions who have less knowledge and experience than their subordinates. This lack of expertise in leadership positions can lead to ineffective team management and division among colleagues.
Furthermore, my experience was marred by inappropriate comments and behavior based on racial stereotypes. As a white employee, I encountered hurtful comments about white people that were never taken seriously or addressed by management, leading to a lack of inclusivity and respect in the workplace.
Overall, while there were enjoyable aspects of working at Paychex, such as the events and celebrations, the issues with training, management, and workplace culture need to be addressed for it to be a truly positive work environment.

- Leadership pushing goalposts and struggling to make up their minds. In most cases (95% of the time), they are just completely disconnected from reality - check
- Leadership only caring about "what will get them promoted" instead of "what will help make their team/organization happy" - check
- Leadership always trying to put a name to themselves by pushing through useless projects to make them look good instead of helping the company as a whole - check
- Dangling "bait" for hard working employees only to give promotions and raises to low performers/slackers - check
- Enabling low performers/slackers to continue their bad behaviors (routine tardiness, poor work ethic, cut-throat tactics, etc.) and then protecting them from complaints/criticisms - check
- Overworking employees (mostly the hard workers) to cover for the low performers/slackers with leadership being FULLY aware of who the slackers are - Leadership is afraid of letting them go as it will make their hiring record look bad (refer to points 2 and 3 above) - check
- Executives overspending on company financing/budget and then complaining that they are running short on money - check
- Outsourcing jobs to India or another country with cheap labor in an attempt to increase their bottom line (sometimes because of previous point) - check
- Too focused on getting projects done "now" instead of done "correctly" - check
