If you’re an external hire, be ready to go through a set of round robin interviews that merely further delay the career advancement and training timeline: it took then 7 months to get merely passed my shift leader training (when in truth, I personally can produce a full-on, ready-to-work-and-produce team of management for a single shop in a month). I’m mostly deeply disappointed that I could not develop the skills and culture and a sense of urgent work ethic in the various shops I worked at (but I blame the incompetently prepared management teams that fought me all the way up to my resignation who stayed in a stubborn mentality to no progress and, thus, create a CULTURE via the usage of the up-and-coming Potbelly Advantage), Awesome pay. Make their money. You can literally be dying and they'll look the other way and find an excuse you need to work. They only care about you making their money. They aren't worried about keeping managers understaffed, especially on high traffic days. Their pay wages are all over and no one is paid equally or fairly.
