My Reason for Working at PetMeds for 12 Years
|
|
I love pets and I love people. Those have been my primary motives for staying at PetMeds this long. All my life I have had pets. They have been my joy and comfort so I love hearing people share their stories and love of their pets. I also must say that pet people are generally patient and understanding people. They are just plain nice and respectful in most situations. All we have to do is care, which we should do naturally, and we will do our job well. Working for a company that gives me the ability to help those people to the best of my ability is very fulfilling. I love that I can do whatever it takes, within reason, to fix any problem the customer has. As I have been told that I can be my own supervisor in any situation. This is very empowering and satisfying when I do solve their problem. The company gives me all the tools to do that. I have rarely had a customer not happy and thankful when I hang up the phone. How wonderful to hear this all day. Also working with managers that treat me with the utmost respect and support has made working at PetMeds amazing. I have always recieved information that was needed and given encouragement on a constant basis. I also like being challanged to a higher standard through different contests. It also encouraged team work when groups were involved. Along with management the other departments are so helpful and go the extra mile to help me with a customer. I know that they are very busy but they are friendly and ready to help every time I call. Working for a quality company like PetMeds is an honor. Our products are great and the leadership is making it better all the time. Our successful history is proof! We feel more like a family than a business. I love the events where we can catch up with one another. It makes me feel like I haven't missed a beat even though I am working at home. Its easy to see a future in a company that is forging ahead in every way to grow and be the best.

Why I will retire from Petmeds.
|
|
PetMeds is a great fit for me, especially with my medical background as a former private duty CNA and my love for animals of all types. I have worked with medicine for many years as a CNA, which has been extremely beneficial for this job. I also thrive working for a company that believes pets deserve to live a long and healthy life, so it makes me feel good when I can implement that philosophy by helping every pet owner get the meds their pets need. My extremely competent and cooperative managers, Delia Haskins, Sasha McKenzie, Christian Maloni, and Jennifer Wickman are the best managers I have ever had and are a material reason why I will retire from PedMeds. I trust and respect all of them and they treat me with that same trust and respect. Additionally, they respond quickly when I need customer support or when I have a personal request. All my fellow employees are like family to me and since CEO Matt Hulett came aboard, PetMeds has changed for the better. At PetMeds, we are the experts in assisting pet owners obtain their meds and I consider myself an expert in this realm, and I am grateful for my detailed training, which has helped me hone my customer service skills. A big plus and another important reason for wanting to retire at PetMeds is being able to work from my home office in a quiet, serene environment, just me, the pet owners, and their sweet pets.
