You’re almost discouraged, have to provide 100 reasons why and made to feel guilty when asking for additional help. They throw so money down the drain in a desperate attempt to recruit for their failing AL amyloidosis study instead of shifting to more effective approaches. Standard, inept management (middle and c-level) who lead with arrogance and blame those further down the chain for their failures. Too many middle managers and not enough workers. A job description that played to my strengths and promised growth in areas that I would have liked to begin to explore. Friendly and competent coworkers and an entrepreneurial spirit. My last day here was also one of the best of my life. The job description bore little resemblance to the job. Rapid turnover changed the atmosphere dramatically from when I started, and the folks I trusted seemed to all leave one by one. Job growth was non-existent, and even seemed actively discouraged, and the position contracted beneath my feet. Knowledgeable and respectful leaders. My boss was hands off and allowed me to experiment around with whatever I thought would help my project. He was always happy to give advice whenever I ran into problems. Best type of mentor/leader. VP (2019) is really knowledgeable and cares about everyone's well-being at work and outside of work. Leaders are understanding when you have obligations or personal problems and will help/accommodate. CFO's terrible jokes gave me a chuckle here and there! Good team-bonding with tabata and boot camp. The people and culture made leaving the company a challenge. Not enough terrible jokes from CFO.
