Great sales people laid off because of a bad territory, while others were promoted due to being placed in a great territory. Favoritism when it comes to who gets which territory, they know which one's are good/bad territories. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 5.0 3.0 5.0 672636 Open Make things more fair across the board for BDRs , AEs, Managers 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Open Apr 17th, 2024 04:12PM Apr 17th, 2024 04:12PM Pluralsight
nasdaq:ps https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=672636 Apr 8th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Pluralsight Software Engineer Too many cooks in the kitchen. Great minds to work with. Big complex problems to solve, as well as cool technologies to work with. Many perks like WFH and "Unlimited PTO". Slowly chipping away at benefits. Management changes direction and expectations at the drop of a hat. Employees in constant fear of layoffs. You will be constantly treated as a replaceable cog. Promotions and raises are basically nonexistent. Constantly moving the target and expecting people to roll with the punches. If you, quite reasonably, can't hit targets because expectations and requirements change you will be locked out of opportunity. The opening of the ITC(India Technology Center) is a thinly veiled offshoring effort. If you aren't hitting targets that are purposely kept from you or your team, you risk getting laid off at the end of a quarter. Doesn't even have to be your deficit. If the team is "under performing"(without a clear definition of what that is) the whole team is gone, soon to be replaced by an Indian team. If your team isn't replaced you'll be expected to onboard engineers in the Indian time zone because they can't figure out the previous code due to limited documentation. This is often handled asynchronously, so a simple request on either end can take weeks to understand, let alone execute on. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 672636 Open C level needs to get their act together and be consistent. VP/Director level needs to stop all saying 'yes' to everything that comes their way overwhelming their teams instead of allowing projects to complete before moving on to the next thing. Surrounding C levels with folks who only say yes means nothing has a realistic timeline. People that push back on C level get let go. This is an extremely unhealthy cycle that PS has gotten itself in. PS needs to actually hire teams that can work in overlapping time instead of shoving teams just to India and expecting both management and onshore to just deal with it. There is room for both onshore and offshore at this company but senior leadership seems to just treat their onshore talent as a cost center instead of an asset. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Open Apr 10th, 2024 06:21PM Apr 10th, 2024 06:21PM Pluralsight
nasdaq:ps https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=672636 Apr 8th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Pluralsight Dublin, Dublin Moving in the right direction Some may see this as a positive and some as a negative. However, there is a "start-up" style culture still existing internally at Pluralsight. This means that people are able to directly message anyone (up to C-level) and receive responses. Through this, decisions are able to be quickly made and work can move efficiently. From previously having to work through a lot of red tape and navigate bureaucracy, this has been incredibly enjoyable. Overall, I would highlight the 3 P's (People, product and potential) as the main pros at Pluralsight. I genuinely believe I work with some of the best professionals here and I am continually learning from how they operate. From a product standpoint, there are few items that are less "controversial" than a solution that endeavours to assist with people's learning and its something that I take personal pride in (with my part in its offering). Finally, from a potential standpoint. Pluralsight have made some very visible changes over the past 18 months, many can be seen from here on Glassdoor. However, I believe the adjustments and current strategy position the platform to grow and become something really lofty and its this that is keeping the best people here. The changes over the past 18 months have certainly taken a hit on morale internally. I do see this improving of late but will likely take some time to get back up to its heights of years gone past. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 672636 Open Use the time during all-hands meeting to share strategy and plans for the near and further future. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Open Apr 10th, 2024 06:21PM Apr 10th, 2024 06:21PM Pluralsight
