Deccent pay, poor management, no communication, toxic
|
Good pay. But management is terrible, unapproachable and rarely around to lead.
Your typical day consists of waiting 1hr to start working without any communication of what is happening for the day.
If you are a temp you are treated very poorly as more senior operators will be given work while you get required to send home to save the company money on labor hours. As a temp you are expected to work until the end of your contract without any word on whether you'll be kept or let go until last minute so they can still use you to work.
If supervisor/management show up they will micromanage shouting telling you to keep it down and not talk. Litterally not talk. It is toxic to work here.

Great benefits, poor management
|
The company itself treats you well if you offer your entire life to it. They expect you to be there for 10+ hours a day and even weekends sometimes. Work/life balance does not exist with this company as you are always expected to be there.

Productive and fun workplace
|
Pros: flexible shifts, beautiful campus, employees are given freedom to learn from mistakes instead of being scolded or punished. Management is relaxed and willing to allow the leads to fix the problem. The flow in general on the production floor and among the production team is fairly smoother. Engineers are on point and willing to cover all automated issues to the best of their ability.
Cons: temps are frequently let go based on work demands. Becoming a full time employee takes years. Most temps are treated well but have expectation dates on them. Once a project is finished they are mostly let go. This is a fairly regular and unfortunate process.

Management definitely has favorites and you notice that pretty early on. Other than that the job isn't very hard you just have to memorize the steps after that it's all repetition.

Great Pay, Good Hands on Experience for 1st timers, Room for growth, Unstable Job Security
|
I originally got hired through my agency (Eastridge). For my first manufacturing job I was very intimidated, but I felt very welcomed from the staff and most of management. They really do take the time to help you learn the machines inside and out and encourage you to ask questions whenever you are unsure about anything.
When my assignment began, I started alongside 20-25 others and we were scheduled to work 4 days a week 10 hour shifts (3:30pm-2:00am), start pay was $22 and overtime was $33 . However, it is difficult to feel stable because you dont know what machines/jobs you would be working on each shift and some operators would just run the machine but not take the time to actually train you. Over time everyone that was hired through an agency was either transferred to a different location or let go regardless of how many machines they were signed off on, attendance, personality, longevity etc. You really dont know if yesterday was your last day. The schedule eventually changed to 5 days a week 2:30-11pm (8 Hours) which is the actual schedule for 2nd shift employees and there is no room for flexibility. If you have a second job, go to school etc. you will have to prioritize working for them if you want to stay. Overtime is also frowned on so there is a good amount of pressure to learn the machines and avoid any critical errors that could extend your job.
Overall it is a great company to work for and some managers make it feel fun at times, but if you are looking to become permanent/ long-term I would not recommend. I have personally seen various individuals who were just as qualified if not more so than me suddenly gone. No matter how many machines you learn, how well you work with others, how well your attendance is the criteria to become permanent seems baffling.

Multiple breaks, great pay, friendly staff
|
Job security, schedule flexibility, quality training depends on operator, lack of communication between 1st shift and 2nd shift employees

Good pay, easy to pick up on, no stability, no opportunities for growth
|
The role is pretty easy to pick up on and the pay rate is well above average for similar jobs however it does offer any job security for temps you'll get let go without prior warning all the temps I was working with got let go some of us were asked to come back only to be let go after a few weeks if you're looking for stability or room for growth this is definitely not the place to look
|
Good pay rate, easy to learn, 4/10 schedule

No stability, no opportunities for growth

No job security for temps
|
Everyone I started with has been laid off. Expect to not have any job security as a temp. You can possibly be let go any day. Pay is fair, but no room for growth. There's a lot of favoritism and gossip and English isn't spoken the majority of the time. Since I don't understand Filipino language, I just look in confusion. No diversity within the company.its a decent job, but not something you'd want to stay for in the long run.

They are definitely not afraid to toss you to the side and they pay rate does not equal the amount of dedication you will put into this company and too much drama all the time
