Not as bad as some call centers. Still not good.

Benefits are good, employee discount is fun! Some of the customers are genuinely very kind. Pay is decent. Work/life balance is nice because you can completely put it away.

The expected handle time is ridiculous. Sometimes customers can be nasty. The main system used is twenty years outdated. Incredibly frustrating as an environment.

Don't overwork your supervisors, they are often not able to even reply to emails. If you cared about employees, you would update your systems, but I do not believe you do in any capacity.

*Flexible work schedule during the week/ability to choose schedule type (4 days on, 3 days off)
*Time off w/o pay (get off early), if it's not busy
*WFH
*Some really, really sweet customers!

*Some customers are extremely rude & racist. They berate other CS reps whose first language is not English.
*Little training on nuanced, complex issues. Leaves you stuck (and slightly embarrassed) when you're unsure how to go about a customer's issue.
*Effective communication between departments is nearly impossible.
*New Return Label policy is frustrating for older customers who can't print their own or who may be homebound (+ returns are very costly). Not good when 90% of the customer base is elderly.
*Calls are back-to-back-to-back-to-back. I worked 10-hour shifts some days. (two 15 min. breaks, one 30 min. lunch) Can't even get a sip of water or coffee in sometimes.
*They monitor your "adherence" (aka. how well you are sticking to scheduled breaks/time on the phones). Anything below a 93% average results in reprimand.
* Soooo many customers (who never fail to remind you they have been w/ QVC 30+ years) that say QVC is getting worse. I believe them.
*Quality on products is often questionable.
*Average handling time is rewarded for speed, not quality. So many customers say they have spoken w/ rude reps who just try to get them off the phone.
*Pay starts at like $15/hr. I work other jobs (while Full-Time) to support myself.

I don't know all the responsibilities you have to do, but employee support should be a top priority. I had a nearly unrepsonsive supervisor who was not very personable, in my opinion.

Poor work/training distribution, unless you are one of the few that have been around since the beginning you're not getting to do anything but answer the phones, no room for advancement in a tiny department.
