There’s no room for growth only up the management chain.

I spoke to my supervisor on many occasions about how stressed the job was. They laughed in my face.
Many days I didn’t get brakes due being so busy.

My co-workers make the shift go so quickly, there is a point-based recognition system to reward individual and group efforts (1 point is equivalent to $1 and points can be redeemed for anything from kitchen gadgets to TVs, computers, plane tickets, a seemingly endless array of gift cards, and more), continuous improvement "CI" projects allow creativity and innovation, and working on and using my honed skills and knowledge from my career pre-Regeneron to create medications that improve people's quality of life makes the work worth it... I go home proud every day!

HR is not quite so innovative or open-minded as the rest of the company is. Many improvements which could be made, aren't due to the massive amount of work it would take for inter-organizational meetings and testing to ensure newly implemented ideas have zero negative impact on the current process. It is great to keep patient's safety at the forefront, but sometimes it concerns non-drug issues/tasks/items/programs etc. simply is a matter of weighing the amount of work it would take to implement an idea, versus its actual value to the job (even if helpful and an improvement, sometimes it's easier to keep doing things the same way). Extreme focus on patient safety (which is admirable and should always be the focus) sometimes leads to over-redundant protocols which aren't necessary, but can be a hassle when implemented; shying away from the innovator side, sometimes we implement processes and policies that other companies have implemented simply so that we aren't the "odd one out."

Like all companies, avoid micromanaging. Listen to employees ideas closer and focus more on how they'll hope versus the work it will take to implement them. Keep in mind, just because other companies are doing something, doesn't mean we have to.
