QC scheduling is amazing!

Working in the quality control lab has amazing benefits. It does not pay the best for long time employees but it is pretty good when beginning your career. It is a salary position and if you are done with your work, you can leave! It is very rare that you will have to work overtime or even 40 hours. Job is mostly Mon-Thurs with occasional Fridays. There are quite a few holidays as well! Management work is very easy as it mostly involves keeping up with ordering and instrument maintaince.

Production schedule can change often, Usually does not effect the lab too much but may result in waiting around for samples to come in. Can have a rush of samples come in but generally can prioritize rush samples then deal with the others on your own schedule.

Extremely toxic culture. Rampant blatant bullying. Constant unprofessional behavior, swearing, threatening, shouting, gossip and trash talking everyone. horrible disorganized training. Very few, and out dated process documents and references material. Management engages with gossip and trash talk with the employees. No HR in office.
