The people you work with every day! The therapeutic areas that Sage is working on are much needed and it’s exciting to be a part of that. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There were not enough administrative staff for the incredible amount of work needing to be done, and leadership didn’t appear to care whether the team was becoming overwhelmed or not. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment is great - you choose where you work. If you want/need to be fully remote, that’s fine, or if you want a hybrid work arrangement that’s fine, too. I worked with some of the best and brightest in my career. Unfortunately, leadership was sorely lacking at Sage. Organizational leaders did not have a strategy and groups worked in silos. Some leaders exhibited very bad behavior and were abusive to their teams. The company knows about it and has not addressed or removed these people despite a great deal of feedback. Benefits and great, but career growth was non-existent in some groups. Promotions were inconsistent. The company has grown but operational structure has not advanced to match growth, which results in chaos, delays and spinning of wheels. There is a persistent culture that rejects this, thinking they do not want to adopt a "big pharma" culture, but this is hurting the company.
