I worked with a fantastic team who deeply cares about the work we did and each other. We bonded on how much we survived our extremely toxic and abusive manager.

How much time do we have?
Low pay and compensation plan. Other depts got credit for our sales which provided them higher commissions while ours was bare minimum. Saw and experienced inappropriate and unethical behavior. Very toxic environment.
Their processes are still in the 20th century, Excel order forms, paper applications that are then faxed in, and more.

I loved the management there, and the job was fairly easygoing depending on the season. The work is fairly independent which is great for someone who is not looking to be social.

Organization can be messy when you have to rely on coworkers who don't care as much about it. It can be a struggle to get enough hours in the Spring season.

Terrible workload balance, too much work for too small of a crew. Very taxing, physically. 1 call-out can affect the work flow for the rest of the week due to lack of backup. Very tight scheduling.
Repetitive mundane work.
Pay rate does not reflect the work. Certified Forklift operators work at the same pay rate as non-Certified warehouse workers and are expected to fulfill the duties of all positions while still doing their forklift duties.

Have more FT positions instead of too many Seasonal/Temp positions. Not worth working without benefits. Rather than rotate 4 Seasonal/Temps throughout the week keep all 4 scheduled for the entire week. Who wants to work 4-8hrs a week? Each "department" has maybe 1-2 FT and probably 4+ Seasonal/Temps. Company is too cheap with available hours/benefits to keep a consistent team. Budget is spent rehiring positions that workers do not want to keep filled.
Management does not see the world through the eyes of the hourly worker.
Pay rate is garbage, not "competitive". Similar work in the local area pays more.
Management never backs the team up.
