Didn’t learn much and pay wasn’t great but it helped me get another job so that’s about all the good things I can say.

Super repetitive stuff - a lot of calling stores to check and see if the contractors did the work they were supposed to do.

-manager silently letting me not submit mileage for months, because I wasn’t aware I needed to. So I lost pay for months.

Don’t break the law and steal time and resources from employees. Don’t tell employees to put random labels up just because you don’t have them available. Pharmacies are a professional place and deserve better than someone screwing up their inventory due to laziness

The pro’s are that they have so much work, because no one ever lasts. They have hundreds of jobs within major cities. The clients that you work with are generally really nice.
|
The biggest con’s is the pay. Jobs pay you for 1 hour of work, but require 3-4 hours. Speaking with GM’s at stores, they tell me often how previously people were there for 3-4 hours, and that the current task is impossible to do in such a short period of time. SPAR really takes advantage of their independent merchandisers. You get flat pay of $5 for stocking gift cards and phones. I spent 8 hours restocking apparel that had over 300 items and received less than $3. They have flat rate jobs that don’t tell you how much they pay, well it’s $2.50.

When the store managers for your client stores tell your independent merchandisers that it’s impossible to do a job in an hour or less, it does. They do this work daily, M-F and are experts at it. Pay your independent merchandisers minimum of $20 an hour, with a minimum of $20 flat rate. Gas is over $3.50 a gallon and working an hour for $5 is insulting.
