What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay is ok in some jobs. Some of the management are pretty nice.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No personal time off. Most have 2 weeks of vacation, but this year we have to use 2 of our days the week of Christmas, since we are off that week. (Unless they tell us we are behind and need to work). Also, not much technical training although you are expected to do technical Trouble shooting and light repairs. So, if we are sick or need to make an appt, we have to use our vacation. Since there are no sick days either. Most people come to work when they are sick . Also, they seem to terminate people pretty often with little to no warning. So, from day to day. It could be our last. No job security.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall everybody's pretty nice except a few who walk around with cameras. Trying to catch people doing stuff.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start off with daily assignment. Startup machine. Work pretty independently unless there are problems.Fill out paperwork and computer information. Shut down machine, clean up , go home.

Shiloh was a decent place to work while I was there. I learned a lot a will take that with me wherever I go. They sent me to ABB school in Auburn hills while paying me at the same time. They gave me a lot of opportunities and paid me well, I cannot complain too much.

Bad company HR sucks, won't do anything for the workers. Long hours for little pay

Bad bad company to work for .. treat you like your not human don’t train you .. get cussed out by the plant manager .. unprofessional work environment.. made me cry for treating me bad .. we were hard workers but were never told anything good .. poor poor management.. worst place I have ever work at .. got disrespected so many times ..

Fair pay but sometimes you are forced to work 7 days a week… the heat in there during summer is horrible but it’s an easy job to be completely honest.

Worst ran company I had ever worked for. Impossible to improve any process due to HR and carry-over personnel.
|
No focus, no metrics establishing priorities of daily operations or continual improvement activities. Mindset of manufacturing and process are controlled by hierarchy entrenched from decades of poor management and HR. Impossible to gain any controls on manufacturing improving output and reliability. Fire-fighting is your daily activity only to be interrupted by additional fire-fighting. They just don't understand planning to succeed. Hand to mouth manufacturing daily. Ford lives in-house because of issues, both quality and output (lack of). No prints, control plans or Part Approval documentation. Thus no documentation of Continual Improvements nor the ability to implement permanent Corrective Measures.
