Almost 10 Years, and I love it!

Schedule flexibility, great seniority compared to mainline partners, quality of life is what you make of it and is up to the individual. Supportive leadership and InFlight team. Supportive and fun team and job diversity. Lots of space for growth if you want to work in different roles or positions (Lead Instructor, InFlight Support Center, Domicile Support Specialist, etc). No Union! More pay increases, more often, flexibility in our contract and we can ask for the next negotiation whenever we want. Great travel perks and flight benefits.

Only downsides apply to the industry as a whole. Pay the first year is tough, so are the schedules. It’s a lot to adjust to and many friends and family won’t understand. But this is a positive new start to your life and career, come prepared with a cushioned savings and do research about meal prepping for crew members. You will miss out on lots of events (weddings, anniversaries, graduations, etc), have to reschedule appointments, and adapt to life. But, you can also get chunks of time off without having to use vacation. Flexibility, time management and self-care are a MUST to survive.

Not having a union is a big problem, so you get absolutely no support.
Planes are pretty much run to the ground and basically is fixed by putting a bandaid on. Quite scary!

you get great flight benefits, you can invest into skywest stock with pay check, good little gig if you're a full time college student. they offer pilot, a&p, and flight attendant pathway programs after one year of service.

pay is not great. not unionized. no health/ dental/ eye insurance. sometimes have awful hours (3am) but to be expected its the airlines.
