The worst place to work

They expect you to learn everything on your first day, but you should not ask them anything. The manager and the supervisors call names to employees. Workers are often insulted in front of their colleagues/co workers by the manager and supervisors. And all these menace to get basic pay. Hate this place

The drivers were like family. We always had each other’s back

Every work related issue that a driver complained about management always took it personal. Never resolved any issues always made excuses. Ran very poorly

Work environment was good when you’re surrounded around great drivers .
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Going in every morning looking at your paperwork and seeing how many packages I have for that day. Talking to other drivers about the routes

It made sense as to why the company was struggling so much. Training is horrendous and then they blame you for not knowing what they never teach. Rude management. I took the job to do work with computers and I have yet to intake ONE. But they want you to know the ins and outs of all their products to sell them- but won't pay to train you. I would avoid it.

I did not enjoy it, too much stress for such little pay. No paid time off or sick time. High turnover and not enough coverage. discouraged from taking breaks unless you smoked then it was fine.

Staples has a slew of cultures and there is somewhere fit for everyone, every store and every team is different. At some stores, the Leadership truly cares and will take the brunt of KPI trauma in place of their team while some stores have a Manager who will make employees feel sick to go in. This same situation holds true for working at a DPF, or working at home for TSOC. If you want to develope Print services skills, I highly recommend go to a DPF. The machines and software used are consistent to what I've seen in other companies and working in a DPF will let you focus on high quality production instead of taking USPS or Amazon dropoffs. If you want to become a skilled computer tech I advise looking elsewhere. The TSOC is limited to specific tools that don't translate well to most tech careers and the TSOC leadership, who also handle B2B sales, often focuses more about ways to bleed a rock for money than actually offering tech solutions for clients.
