I worked at Bioserv, a subsidiary of sorrento. At Bioserv I had a great experience as a document control specialist. Great work life balance, great atmosphere. I never felt stressed or micromanaged and was always given the opportunity to get my work done on my own and figure things out for myself.

My professional experience at Sorrento is excellent. In my career of pharma and biotech for several years, the working environment at Sorrento is very inspiring, and very professional and positive. Scientists I worked together at Sorrento are very talented and they are good professional mentors to me. Whenever, I ran into some unexpected results which are very common at molecular biology, two senior scientists who are my coaches can diagnose the underlying causes of molecular biology and sciences, technical etc. With that, I can always fix all the issues I ran into at my research and I can level up to resolve anything. As a result, my work days are very productive and inspiring, and stress free and I can learn to the best of my potential. In addition, we are provided for free lunch at every Fri, that shows the generosity of the company.
Another good thing is the upper management in my group is very kind and open to all issues to improve the quality of our work life in our group. Director and senior scientist in our team is very valuable to every employee ad handle all the issues came up effectively and kindheartedly. The only downfall is as our team expands, it is not easy to handle some office politics which is very normal at every work place.
What I like the most about Sorrento is our CEO has a very good mindset how we should take life in a very positive way. At one seminar, he gave us a speech to our group as " never take life downwards whatever circumstances we faced even at the breakpoint, that reflects me very encouraging in my own personal circumstances.
I am very happy and proud for the work of what I contributed for our team and I believe Sorrento will be successful and overcome for anything because of a good management and open attitudes from directors and upper management, and how the structure was designed.
Although I see some negative complaints with paid at comments below, Sorrento makes the right offer to me personally in the hiring process with a decent paid, and positions according to my skills and experiences. I also see Sorrento offered the right fit with the right paid and position based on the employee level and experiences in the hiring process.
Another good thing is our team manager and director always value the work we contributed and our dedication upon the team, and gave feedbacks to our performances in a positive way possible to improve. My manager cares the growth of everyone in the team and everyone in my team is not holding down any new hires. Sorrento encouraged everyone to learn the best sake of their potential so the work environment in my lab is very encouraging for me personally.
I resigned from my position due to my own personal circumstances I need to take care of myself.
I expressed my gratitude to Sorrento for giving me a very good working environment and a sincere positive memory with good mentors, and talented scientists while I was there.
