1-Low pay compared to industry.
2-Inexperienced managers that have no experience to help you on the field.
3-Old school that communication, business model, day 2 day systems we use feel from 20 years ago.
4- unwilling to change their viewpoints regardless any evidence you bring. It makes upper management seem inflexible and unable to adapt.
5- lack of transparency and accountability on their own part. If you work here, remember management is never wrong.
6- Culture among upper management is toxic. Due to lack of transparency among management, problems don’t get brought up. It leads to utter disconnect between field sales reps and upper management.
7- The reps promoted to management do not have any management experience or good knowledge of the business. This leads to a lot of frustration and low moral.
8- High turnover rate

Be willing to take accountability and actually listen to your field sales team. Create a culture which reps can come and talk to you about issues. Don’t ostracize reps for the issues they are encountering daily in the field. Promote based on merit and experience not favoritism. Reflect on the team of RD’s & ZD’s you have now and figure out how to make them better leaders.
