Ok place to work, just not the great place it once was
|
Tenable used to be an amazing place to work before the three founders left and before becoming a publicly traded company. Upper management back then truly valued their employees and knew everyone by name and face. Now it's just a typical company where most are just a number and expendable with the exception of certain roles. They will tell you day in and day out that the people are the most important asset and then turn around and lay off those same most important assets. They do however provide a generous tuition and professional development benefit. Most people are top notch professionals and a pleasure to work with. Remote workers used to be a primary focus of hiring, but they are moving away from that practice now.

Great in many ways, but being overtaken by Silicon Valley bro types

Awesome team, less awesome C-Suite
|
When my favorite C-level executive was asked to resign, I knew it was the end. The team I worked with directly were hands down AWESOME, and they hire smart people, but the C suite has slowly been overtaken by Silicon Valley bro types who are more concerned with profit and crushing the competition than doing the actual right thing. Unrealistic deadlines, lack of communication across departments, and an increased focus on growth without a realistic understanding that explosive growth does not last forever.

Long since jumped the shark in company culture. Now that the founders are all gone, so is the last vestige of the once great company. It's now just like any other and that's sad.

I would not recommend. The management team plays favorites and the spout diversity but don't want to hear your thoughts and opinions. Not a lot of room for advancement.
