The current C levels (2023-2024) are not up to standard for their role. Decisions are taken with a very superficial look at the data, without understanding the market effects. Focus is given to wha is new and trendy without addressing the core problems of the company (legacy code, inefficient pipelines, overcomplicated implementation) when addressing them would improve the overall health of the product.

The thing I love most about working for trivago is the unique experience of working with an international team from all over the world under one roof in a divers working environment. This is what trivago is for me. It's Culture lived everyday.
Additionally, the company does a lot for their talents like voluntary development workshops, providing different kinds of drinks, fresh fruits, cereals, etc. for free on a daily basis, as well as cultural events to represent the different backgrounds of the talents.

Changes can happen a bit frequently, but at least it's never boring.

Als Praktikant wird man bei trivago wie ein vollwertiges Mitglied behandelt. Man hat die Möglichkeit, bei verantwortungsvollen Aufgaben mitzuwirken, eigene Ideen einzubringen und wesentlich zum Erfolg des Teams beizutragen. Für ein Praktikum hätte ich mir kein besseres Unternehmen wünschen können, da es viele Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten gibt und die Themen an denen ich arbeite sehr spannend sind.
Die Unternehmenskultur gefällt mir gut, alle sind aufgeschlossen und freundlich.
Es werden mehrfach jährlich tolle Events veranstaltet.
Der Campus hat eine tolle Lage und ist gut ausgestattet (Fitnessstudio, Meetingräume)

Mir fällt nicht viel Negatives ein.

Amazing office space with great facilities. Free events, parties, coffee, snacks...etc.
You will make your way here if you can make a big deal out of small achievements and can market yourself.

The company invests in employer branding way more than employees themselves. Unfortunately, they hire a lot of talents and then lay other talents off. You can usually hear of a couple of people from different departments that suddenly left the company, and recently, the company has been recently posting more part time and student jobs than before.
The are gradually taking benefits away. We used to have a week off called trivacation but they decided to cancel it this year!
Career progression is very limited. The average team lead is leading a team of only 3 or 4. In a small company as trivago, this ratio doesn't make sense.
Onboarding was very basic.
