At first I still enjoyed what I did, after a while it became apparent that I was one of the only 2 in the store actually there to work. They hire managers that have no business being in management and expect the stores to be better. There's absolutely no concern for the employees. Just the bottom line, I get that it's business, but at some point taking care of your employees should matter. I loved the animal portion of the job and helping people take care of them was great, I feel the corporate way in running it ruined everything though. It may have been the district we were in but Co-workers were unprofessional, managers were horrible. If you weren’t an avid ‘shove down the customers throat‘ sales person they ridiculed you. Not good with mental health issues. Complaints to HR seemed to go unnoticed. Do not recommend.
