JB makes tons of bad business decisions yet still makes tons of money. Most managers in their jobs have been moved into that position because the other guy was fired and current managers don't know what they are doing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HR is really hostile. They threw us under the bus when covid happened. managment and salary stayed at home and left the machinists to die when they thought covid was a plague. However a bunch of the management doesn't have much of a clue, nobody plans for anything. Layoffs are cyclical, there's no air conditioning, and most of the machines are ancient. I learned the transmission, torque converter and PTO aspect of Marine and Industrial units. Also learned everyday life lessons from my immediate supervisor and other co-workers. Hardest part of the job is dealing with older ignorant customers that are culturally challenged. The most enjoyable part of the job is new learning experiences with great friends and co-workers. Kept busy all day with a variety of different jobs.I learned a lot about picking and packing service parts. And washing prepping painting and skidding transmissions. The management was good but didn't hold employees accountable for what they did or didn't do. My co-workers were nice but lazy and took advantage of the fact that all they had to do was show up it didn't matter if they did any work. The hardest part of my job was trying to stay motivated while my co-workers talked all day or were on their phones for hours watching TV.
